The oatmeal cookies are amazing! They are so simple yet they taste jazzy without being over-the-top.
I added a cream-cheese-fluff filling to some, but I actually like them better plain. I'm usually a chewy-cookie gal, but these may convert me.

If you are reading this comment, you should probably drop everything and bake these right away! You won't regret it.

I baked the oatmeal/walnut/ginger cookies last night after chilling the dough overnight. The night that I made the dough was hot and humid, but it was just warm last night when I did the baking - I don't know if that had anything to do with it, but my cookies, while DELICIOUS turned out soooooooooo flat. What did I do wrong? The cookies in the photo seem to have a little loft to them and mine have none... so they're kind of odd-looking. But they do taste heavenly!!

let me tell you - I am no baker, but I have some hope after subscribing to your blog. I made the chocolate chip cookies here yesterday (with peanuts - my preference) and had great success! thanks so much for the accurate, no nonsense instructions. I'll be trying many more recipes from your site!
