Thank You! Want a Cookie?

Please allow me to take a break from the usual photo and recipe post to tell you all how fabulous you are!
I only started Joy the Baker about 5 months ago. In those short months, I have connected with fellow food lovers from around the world. The response has been truly heart warming. The praise, support and inspiration has really changed my life.
Thank you! Thank you for visiting so loyally. Thank you for reading, drooling and commenting. Thank you for trying my recipes and telling me about your successes and oopsies. Thank you for all of the laughs and inspiration that you have unknowingly provided me.
The only real way to say thank you is with cookies. These Red Velvet Black and White Cookies have gone off the charts in their popularity on this site. So, three lucky Joy the Baker readers will find these little beauties in their mail boxes- a thank you from me to you! All you have to do is a leave a comment on this post, and I’ll pick at least three random names, ship them off, and you’ll enjoy cookies! Go on, leave me a comment. Tell me something good.
Thanks again for all of your support! It means so much to me!

What fun! I’ve really enjoyed seeing all the pictures of your tasty treats and writing down the ones that I’m going to try one day.
Seriously? Because I’ve been craving those cookies ever since you posted them. They look delicious! (Please, let this be my lucky day.)
i would so love to get these in the mail, but aussie customs would for sure capture them and eat them themselves! that can only mean one thing…i will have to make them sometime at home. you have a wonderful blog…you take amazing photos, and you always make things that i’d love to try (esp the brekkie stuff)!
Your recipes always look AMAZING, but those red velvet black and white cookies were definitely the ones that I craved the most. I bookmarked that page RIGHT away with the intention of making them as soon as I got home from college!
Keep up the beautiful blog.
…and cookies…pleeeeeease?
mmm I could do for some cookies in my mail box!!
how fun is this?! thanks for putting together such a fun blog. it’s total eye candy for me… :)
OMGggg…
my favorite cookie here by far.
i had to leave a message! ;)
I confess, I’ve been one of your silent readers for a while. I’ve even printed out a few of your recipes to try out. The red velvet black and white cookies are one I’ve been planning to attempt.
Keep on taking gorgeous pictures and beautiful food!
Those cookies look really good. Send them to me…Please!
What a treat! Your blog has been such a great read. I have bookmarked so many of your goodies already – and of course this red velvet black and white cookie recipe is one of them!
Hope you keep writing. :)
Who wouldn’t love to get these cookies in the mail! I am off to Italy for my 30th Wedding Anniversary and my 25-year-old daughter is taking care of her siblings while we are gone, so no one will be home to bake for them. So they could use a cookie care package in the mail. Thanks!
Joy the baker rocks! Your photographs are stunning, recipes are fabulous and you are too cute in your podcasts. Now gimme my cookies! LOL
Clara
It’s really only been 5 months. Seems like you have been around the blog world longer than that.
I love your blog! Thanks so much for sharing all your recipes, photos, and and talents. Those cookies look absolutely mouth-watering!
I just found your blog a few days ago and I already have a bunch of recipes on my list to try, including the ones you are mailing out! If I’m not lucky enough to get them in the mail, it will be just another great excuse to bake and blog for myself :-)
It was the oatmeal sandwich cookies that brought me here, and the beautiful recipes and the friendly tone of your writing that made me stay. I love the pictures, and the recipes, just everything.
I do lurk here, but even when I have 100 blog posts to read, I never skip yours, because your techniques fascinate me.
And those cookies look delish!
As soon as I stumbled upon your blog, it quickly became one of my favorites. I get so excited when my blog reader shows a new post! Your recipes are always amazing, and your pictures are true food porn!
Wow, yum. Thanks for the deliciousness.
My comment is simply that you deserve the loyalty – your blog is awesome and I check it daily. Incredible talent!
Oooh, these cookies are definitely on my to-bake list. It would be great to just get them in the mail! But either way, I love your blog, and really enjoy the light and easy way in which you present all your baking adventures. Plus the photos are fabulous for drooling over in the middle of a mind-numbing workday!
How sweet! Your offer brought this longtime lurker out of hiding. Pick me! Those delicious cookies wouldn’t have to travel far for this LA girl… Love your blog!
Thank YOU for such a great blog. The recipes are interesting without being over the top and the photos are fab.
we should be thanking you, joy! you put out fabulous and completely executable recipes time and time again! :)
LOVE your blog – and, the pictures are incredible! I am living overseas, but baking makes me feel like I’m back in the good ‘ole US of A. Thanks for the wonderful recipes!
This is a truly luscious blog – guaranteed to make me drool every single day.
Thanks for blogging about your adventures in baking. You’ve actually managed to help me conquer my fear of baking to try some of your recipes, which is a big accomplishment!
Today, I believe it’s chocolate pudding time. :-)
I ran across your blog only a few weeks ago and immediately added the rss feed. Not only are your recipes terrific, but I really enjoy your writing style. It makes for an enjoyable read — on two fronts!
Your unbelievably great photos and recipes pale in comparison to how well your personality comes out in your blog! And did I mention how much I love black and white cookies AND red velvet cake? These cookies were made for me! And I won’t even shamelessly bring up the fact that April was my birthday :)
Only five months?! Your blog is part of my daily reading!
It’s so funny – even though you’ve only been at it 5 months (it’s only four for me I think), I agree – you’re one of my daily reads. I love your photos, and while I find red velvet black and whites sort of blasphemous, I’ve been sorely tempted. In fact, the recipe is starred in my Google Reader, just waiting for my willpower to crumble….
Only 5 months?! I only started reading your blog a couple of weeks ago and already tried two recipes with 100% sucess!
The photos, the yumminess of everything….
Those look great and I’m sure to try them pretty soon :)
i found you via tastespotting and definitely visit your blog daily to see what delectable treats you’ve posted. thanks for your willingness to share and for your time.

Your blog makes me want to open up my own bake shop!
I’ve only recently discovered your blog, but the gorgeous photos and creative recipes have inspired me to pick up baking again, a hobby I haven’t indulged in for a long time. Thanks!
Your blog is one of my absolute favorites and I have tried many of your recipes. I love it and desperately want those cookies!
I have to say, you are my favorite baking blog! I don’t bake as much as I’d like, but I can come here and dream…
These cookies bring back such memories. My grandfather, who passed away this past January, had a special connection with me and these cookies. He lived in NY, and I live in VA – and let me tell ya, these babies are hard to come by in VA. Anyway, each time I would go to NY, he would take me to the cutest little shop in town to get a cookie, and he’d get a few more to package up so I could take them home. He knew black and white cookies (we called them half-moons) are my favorite. When this little shop closed, he would search for days when he knew I was coming up to find me some half-moon cookies to enjoy on my trip. So you see, these cookies hold a very special place in my heart as they will always remind me of my grandfather. Thanks for posting this recipe, I can’t wait to make them.
Joy, I enjoy your blog daily and love your beautiful photo’s and recipes! You deserve your fan base and you truly are a talented artist/baker!
Yum – I have this recipe in a list of those I want to try, but having them straight from the source sounds even better!
Ohhhh, YUM! They look absolutely delicious — black and white cookies were my biggest treat every time my family went to NYC as a kid!
Those look so great!! Yummmmmmm!! I absolutely had to leave a comment to droll over the picture!
A chance to eat one of the beautiful things you’ve made? How could I pass this up?!
My blog has been around for a few months as well and I can entirely relate to you–I never expected the warm reception and didn’t appreciate how much I would enjoy the whole food blogging experience. Glad to have you be a part of that community. :-)
you have a beautiful blog and sweet stories.
Admittedly, the Red Velvet Black and White cookie recipe was the first from your site I’ve tried. I even posted about it on my own blog! =]
I love stopping by every day because you always have an update, and that makes it worth my while. =]
I also plan on putting your recent muffin post to use with an equally enticing bag of black raspberries I spotted at my neighborhood TJ’s.
I’ve never had black and white cookies or anything red velvet, so those look pretty awesome! Everything on your site is delicious:)
black and whites?!?!? my favorite. Congrats and keep up the great work!
Oh, Joy, I’ve had this recipe bookmarked for the loooooongest time! I just haven’t had the chance to make them yet. I would LOVE to taste something you’ve made, you continue to stun me each and every day. Pretty please pick me! I’m seriously on your blog every day (sometimes twice a day) looking forward to your newest recipes and photos. You are stunning!
