Thank You! Want a Cookie?

May 1, 2008

Please allow me to take a break from the usual photo and recipe post to tell you all how fabulous you are!

I only started Joy the Baker about 5 months ago.  In those short months, I have connected with fellow food lovers from around the world.  The response has been truly heart warming.  The praise, support and inspiration has really changed my life.

Thank you!  Thank you for visiting so loyally.  Thank you for reading, drooling and commenting.  Thank you for trying my recipes and telling me about your successes and oopsies.  Thank you for all of the laughs and inspiration that you have unknowingly provided me.

The only real way to say thank you is with cookies.  These Red Velvet Black and White Cookies have gone off the charts in their popularity on this site.  So, three lucky Joy the Baker readers will find these little beauties in their mail boxes- a thank you from me to you!  All you have to do is a leave a comment on this post, and I’ll pick at least three random names, ship them off, and you’ll enjoy cookies!  Go on, leave me a comment.  Tell me something good.

Thanks again for all of your support!  It means so much to me!

Joy: I liked your blog when I first came across it, but it was THESE cookies that sealed the deal for me. I’ve forwarded the link to that post to MANY friends.

Keep it up!

I would love a cookie because:
A) they look amazing
B) I love your blog and wish I had your talent
C) Am going to be in law school finals hell for the next 2 weeks and cookies just make everything better.

The end.

PS-Thanks for a beautiful blog.

There’s a ying and yang in here somewhere about the value of cookies to the chakras….I know there is. If that doesn’t work, well, they’re just delicious looking, fabulous cookies.

your blog is awesome!! i recently relocated to north carolina, i am in the land of bbq and deep fried anything. not that there is anything wrong with that, but i need a little more diversity. a cookie, a pastry, a cupcake that’s not from the grocery store!!

I just came back to get another recipe from you and ya-hoo, a contest. I love a good contest and what better then cookies! In fact, thats what I came to get. That shortbread recipe that eats like a twix. Love your recipes, love your blog, and I love your sence of humor. I’m still laughing at the bunny and the corn muffins. So, I have about a million individual pages from your blog bookmarked as recipes for me to try- number one on my list being these black & white cookies. With exams ending in four (!!!) days, I am SO ALL OVER ALL THESE DELICIOUS GOODIES OM NOM NOM.
I’m excited to get to baking! =D
Thanks so much for all the care you put into this site. It’s funny, informative, and drool-worthy.
And I’ll try to pop out of my lurker-hole when there’s not the possibility of homemade cookies more often. ^_______^

Actually, it would be kind of a big trouble to send the cookies to me because I’m from Buenos Aires (Argentina), so just let me thank YOU for sharing the Joy of baking with us.

Hi Joy!
I love this blog because it’s about all things that I love, dessert and breakfast! I can’t wait to see what you’ve made every day. One question, what do you do with all of the stuff that you bake? I’ve already been called a food pusher at work, but I love to bake. Too bad there are only two of us in my house.

I stumbled your site, but it’s been added to my favorites. Actually, today I made the lemon whoopie cookies… which where devoured in record time by my friends. I managed to hide all of one for myself. I haven’t decided what I’m going to try next, but it’s probably safe to say that I will slowly work my way through the better part of your recipes.

Thanks!

I made these cookies for my family and they were gone in about ten minutes…and I didn’t even tell anybody! I have so many recipes to thanks you for, this is my favorite website (even better than facebook) and that’s saying a lot. Although my dad scolds me because he says i am making him fat. But wouldn’t the world be better filled with fat happy people rather than skinny picky eaters??
I love you Joy!!! Wish i lived in CA so i could have you make me something! you are amazing!

I just moved to NYC and people here are obsessed with two things: black and white cookies and red velvet cake. These cookies are going to blow my coworkers’ minds.
