I made these pretzels a while ago and they were WAY over baked. I love making soft pretzels, the smell of the dough is amazing and the consistency is similar to homemade pizza dough. The first time i made these i made a giant mess, and they where really dark dark brown on top and almost to crunchy to eat. I made these last weekend with my friend though, and after 10 minutes they where perfectly done and golden brown! Delicious. And for everyone scared to make this recipe, I'm 14 and i had no trouble.

Hi Joy,

well the pretzels were amazing! I've wanted to make them forever but didn't have the confidence (pretzels with mustard have been my favourite snack since I was a kid). I did it alongside my three year old son, Jack. Too fun and too tasty, despite the messy kitchen (floor, counter, kid, etc.) thanks for your blog - it is amazing and is a part of our daily life in Canada. When are you going to put together a cook book that I can flip through and mucky up the pages of my favourites? Take care, Kelly

I like Stephanie's Seasonings, it is all natural and all purpose with no anti-caking agents, fillers, sugar or MSG. It has a great taste unlike any other seasoned salt. Here is the website:
http://www.stephanieseasonings.com
Try it, you will like it.
