Already Thankful

Persimmon Bread

I know Thanksgiving is still a week away, but I’m already thinking about what I’m thankful for.

I have a lot to be thankful for. I like to reflect upon it, savor it, write it down, study it. I know I’m early, but it’s a lot to think about. Don’t give me a hard time… you should be thinking on it too. There might just be a test… yes, on the things you’re thankful for. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

So far I’m thankful for smiles that come from the inside out… the ones you can feel in your gut. I’m thankful for contagious laughter and persimmons that ripen in their own stubborn stubborn time. Smiles, laughter and fruit with free will. Pretty great list so far.

I’m going to go whisper sweet nothings at my stubborn persimmons, make you a treat and we’ll talk more tomorrow. Get thinkin’ on your thanks! It feels good. Promise.

Wow, your post just made my day so much brighter. I’m sitting here writing a paper for a class I hate and will probably be up until the wee hours of the night. Your post actually made me take a step back and feel less stressed, somehow. Thank you

At a time when so many things seem to be going wrong in the world, it’s nice to step back and realize how blessed we really are. So wise Joy! :)

It never hurts to be thankful more than just on Thanksgiving. (Giving Joy a hug for helping point out such good things like this.)

My job did something funky to the computers ,and I haven’t been able to view the site for a while. I am here now and I wanted to say that I am thankful for passion. If people didn’t have passion, the world would be such a boring place. I am happy that I have found passion for baking and cooking. I am very thankful for my family, my new husband, thankful that while people are struggling to survive, I still have my job. I am thankful that I have a car to drive me to my job. I am thankful for a lot of things this year. Especially for this blog! If it wasn’t for you, I don’t know if I would’ve ever tried to make empanadas. =D Thank you Joy!
