And I could see the roof of my old apartment. We've spent some happy evenings at Barnsdall park this summer, seeing The Tempest and Henry V. Great productions! As for the fires... I was outside my studio today doing some spray painting, prepping for a wedding I'm designing this weekend. And dust kept settling on my newly spray-painted containers. I finally realized it was ASH. There is ash floating around in the air outside my house. Crazy! As soon as I saw that first photo, I thought “hey, that’s the view from Barnsdall!” And I could see the roof of my old apartment. But, we are enjoying our garden harvest and apple trees. Copious amounts of zucchini bread were made this weekend along with a very tasty tomato chutney I just made up on the fly. We're off to Las Cruces next weekend for the Wine Harvest and Chile Festivals...that will certainly be a nice end to summer. (Best part-seeing our oldest son!) This is after it was 85 only a few days ago. But it feels surprisingly nice to be bundled and warm, so I guess I'm ready for fall myself. Today is going to be baking pies, paprika chicken stroganoff and cookies, which feels like more fall dishes. And more red wine too. Sounds like a good day.
