Bake Out with Jill and Joy

Deb's Caramel Pudding with Jill

I made Caramel Pudding with my friend Jill a few weeks back.  You were here.  You remember.

Deb's Caramel Pudding with Jill

We made a video too!  Oooh goodness gracious.  We did.

If Caramel Pudding freaks you out… if you’re scared of cooking sugar to a golden brown… well, problem solved!  I can show you how.  I can talk you through it.  I also happen to giggle the whole time.  Let’s hope you find that endearing.

Bake Out with Jill and Joy  is a little video series that Jill and I are putting together.  Jill dreams up the dessert.  I show her how to make it.  We laugh… a lot.  I say awkward things… a lot.

Not only is there real action going on here today… Jill and I also brought presents to give away.

Giveaway

Jill and I wanted to treat you to a few things.  You know… to thank you for watching us futz around with pudding.

We’re giving away two prizes to two happyprettysparkle people.  I picked out my favorite fancy whisk and purple spatula for you.  You’ll need a good whisk and spat to whip up this pudding.

And!  Bonus!  Jill is giving away a set of her Culinista Kitchen videos.  You’ll get a little bundle of fun, instructional DVDs, recipes, a shopping list, labels… everything you’ll need to cook up a weeks worth of fancy pants meals.  Genius!  If you don’t want to take your chances on winning this sweeeeet deal, pop on over to Culinista Kitchen and check it out.

You have until the end of Sunday to enter the two part giveaway.  Watch the video.  Leave a comment on this post.  You’re golden!  Two winners will be chosen using Random.org.    Hooray!  You save the day!

Special thanks to Taylor and Jill for making this video so darn fun… and ridiculous.

  1. aaw, you guys are so cute! and that pudding looks awesome! i’d love it, with or without the skin. :)

  2. Absolutely delicious! You had me drooling by the end of the video! Now, I’m off to whip up some caramel pudding of myself. Thank you:)

  3. Jill reminds me of a mix of Alison Hannigan (you know, Willow from Buffy) and my friend Alex … what a pair of cuties you are.

And I can’t believe you actually say ‘carmel’! I’m British and I’ve never heard it said that way – so whenever I’ve seen caramel spelt as ‘carmel’ on the internet I’ve been like, ‘how on earth can anyone mispell caramel?!’. Now I understand!

  4. The video totally sold me on making the pudding — y’all are too cute! Love the sprinkling of sea salt before adding whipped cream. Adding this to my “make it!” list of recipes.

    Happy belated Birthday, Joy :).

  5. aw, that video was so fun! your recipes are always so on point, and that caramel pudding looks delicious!

  6. you guys looked like you were having a lot of fun! i made this recipe last month and it turned out great. i used skim milk along with some butter – next time i’m going to try it with whole milk to compare. thanks!

  7. I loved the video, you both are super cute and fun to watch and of course you made me want to go and make some carmel pudding ( at 12:30 am :), I am going to restrain my self and make it for breakfast instead!

  8. Yum! I need to go make this now. Also, I love your purple ruffly shirt. It goes with spatula and whisk you’re giving away!
