Thank you so much for posting this recipe. I have made these twice, and they turned out perfect! The colour was just right, and they tasted certainly delicious. The only thing was, I seemed to be running out of batter, but I think that's because I like to fill my liners close to the top, so my cupcakes rise right up.

Thanks for this recipe, Joy! I made these yesterday and they turned out beautifully. I was worried because my red paste was not at allllllll pasty, but it either didn't really matter in the end or I just can't tell that it mattered. Either way, woo! Cupcakes! Thanks again.

Great recipe! I baked the cupcakes almost exactly following recipe. They're perfect!
The first time I made red velvet I used the recipe using oil and buttermilk. I was awfull. I thought I just don't like that kind of cake. But it looked so pretty... (that's not kind of cake I can buy in country I live in- if I wanna try I have to bake it myself)
Lucklily I've tested your recipe and I loved it!
I made the frosting using vanilla scrapings and reduced sugar to few tablespoons. That way cream cheese and vanilla flavours are more detectable.
Thank you <3
