Chia seeds come from a flowering plant in the mint family that's native to Mexico and Guatemala, and history suggests it was a very important food crop for the Aztecs. It's remained in regular use in its native countries, but was largely unknown in North America until researcher Wayne Coates began studying chia as an alternative crop for farmers in northern Argentina about 29 years ago.:^::

I made a chunky peanut butter smothie with milk banana strawberry yogurt light with spinach and ice cubes and finnally frozen blueberries. Try it very good and filling for those in a hurry and want something good for breakfast. For those that don't like chunky peanut butter you can put regular peanut butter. Very good try it and enjoy

Just got in my Vitamix late last nite. Woke up with a PB banana craving. Needed to start using up those frozen bananas anyway, right? This is perfect. I had regular vanilla yogurt on hand and it came out perfect. :) I am so drinking the whole thing by myself. Thanks for making it okay by saying "one large smoothie." Next time I may add a scoop of protein powder. Thanks!
