Wedding Cake: almost the end

Wedding Cake: almost the end

mmm. mmm. mmmmmm.

There were a lot… and I mean aaaaaa loooooot of steps between this bowl of batter and decorating this wedding cake onsite, ten minutes before the ceremony.

I want to tell you about all those steps.  The dowels, the driving, how I tried to turn the inside of my car into a refrigerator, the stacking, the piping… all of it.

First though… I have to go buy my Dad lunch for Father’s Day.  Then… I think there’s an episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey that I have to um… not go watch.  I’m sure you understand.

Your cake looks great! I would be so sweating like a pig trying to decorate right before the big event. You pulled it off with such class.
I hope you got your taco and tequilla!!!

It looks AMAZING! Nice nice work! And PS – I have to go “not watch” Housewives of NJ, too. Mostly because I’m sad that Dina is gone. xxSAS

Cake looks great! My question is how do you cut your dowel rods to be even and flat…that is the hardest part for me!

Yes, absolutely! :) You deserve it – that stuff is not easy to do! The cake is beautiful, Joy, it really is, and now that you’re done it wouldn’t hurt at all to not go watch some Real Housewives for a while… isn’t that right? ;) I would too.
