Watch Out November!

October 22, 2010 by Joy the Baker 136 Comments

No-Bake Peanut Butter Tart

I’m terrible with surprises.  All that dang waiting… it just seems so silly.

I have a surprise for all y’all.

This November… just some days from this day today… there’s going to be a giveaway everyday of the month here at J the B.

Everyday!  Something lovely for you to win!

Tell your friends.  Call your Mom.  Write your Congressman.  I’m going to wait in line at the post office.  It’s going to be fun.

I just thought I’d let you know… in case you were thinking of blog breaking up with me between now and next month.

Oooh, I like the thought of giveaways and fun surprises…even if I wholeheartedly believe that you can’t blog break up with somebody who inspires you to make lots of pancakes and embrace all forms of sugary decadence.

You are soo sweet! And how did you know that November is my birthday month? Albeit… a bigger birthday… (aren’t they all?) I guess we don’t go backwards do we? You’ve got me excited…. oh, and I shared your pumpkin pop tart with my daughter…. she loves pumpkin pie! Matter of fact her DH doesn’t like pumpkin pie…. so we make her one all for her lonesome each year! LoL…
November…. presents…. the whole month! What’s not to like! My SIL’s (two of them) birthdays are the 10th and the 16th!
Keep up the good work girl. I really enjoy reading your blog…. ‘cept you make me soooo hungry each time I read! Oh, and your video’s are really great! You two do a great job!

YIPPEE! If you have a professional pastry bag, put my name on it, would ya? lol I need a new one:) But, seriously, the one I’ve been using is tearing right where the edge of the tips lies inside the bag. And, I have looked and looked and looked for a large replacement bag, and cannot find one. This is a rather large one (I hate the little ones:)) and would like to find one that is similar.

Any suggestions where to shop, Joy? The one I have now seems to be a combination of cloth on the exterior and plastic-y on the inside, but anything professional grade, even if it is a bit different, would make me happy. HELP!!!!

      Patty,
You can get one just like that (cloth on outside, plastic inside) in sizes 12-48 inches at Cash and Cary or Restaurant Depot. I don’t know what state you live in but you can look up the store locations online to see if you have one near you.
      I hope this helps.

My Top 10 Peanut Butter Recipes

I haven’t felt like making meals at all this week.  I don’t even seem to have the energy to cobble together my usual lazy stand-bys: scrambled eggs and a carb, toasted.  Strangely, I’m also not allowing myself to order any expensive (and everything is expensive right now) takeout so… well, I’ll be eating bananas smeared…
