[...] Since the Dutch worked so hard 400 years ago and carrots are wonderful, you should pay homage and eat some today…with ranch dressing…mmm. Did you know you could make your own ranch dressing? And did youknow it was super easy to do? Well you can. And it is.
Well! I had just finished making up a batch of your almond granola, and then I thought ooh, we have buttermilk in the fridge - I want to make ranch dressing. And then I ended up back at your site. It looks like our relationship is getting serious (kind of like my relationship with food). Anyway, this is great dressing - I had no sour cream so used Greek yogurt, and no chives so added in onion powder - and it came out very tasty!

This was posted over a year ago but I just have to tell you...

This dressing recipe has won over at least 50 (and counting!) inner city kids and teens from Boston. I teach cooking classes for kids and families who are at-risk for diet related diseases, the main idea being that simply cooking at home, using real ingredients, is one serious and important way to fight our health epidemic. So making ranch, with chives and parsley instead of mystery "spices" is one sweet way to demonstrate the difference between processed and unprocessed foods.

We'd tried to make ranch dressing before, many times, but it always left the kiddos ready to hit the supermarket shelves and buy some Hidden Valley--- until now! This rocks and it has become a standard part of our curriculum.

Thanks, Joy!!
