  • Those carrot cakes are a keeper!

  • I love and adore your sourdough pancakes! Now I want pancakes…

  • Joy,
Yes – I started reading your blog a little before you shared your father’s buttermilk pancakes with us (and I do keep thinking, “wow, this woman LOVES her pancakes”). :)
As a fellow fanatic, may I suggest my preferred pancake topping of choice – peanut butter! I think it started as a joke my mother and Godmother were playing on me but I’ve always preferred plain pancakes with PB (Jif, not skippy) and syrup. It’s great!!

    • I’m with you, Rachel! Every time I request peanut butter for my pancakes, I get strange looks. I absolutely must have it. I’ve been eating them this way for three decades.

  • Ah, I too am swooned by pancakes. They are one of the most delicious things on this planet. And a food that I could eat for three squares for the rest of my days. Thanks for the post and all of the great ideas!

  • Its okay to love pancakes :) I love them too!

  • Yes, I completely believe you. Your pancake obsession has been very obvious, after following your blog for a year. Haha! I feel the same way about cheese…just can’t get enough of it. I’ve been know to eat plain cheddar cheese for breakfast. Yum!

  • rumor has it that national pancake day is september 26. only a month away! i plan on attempting the oatmeal cookie pancakes for breakfast and the whole wheat banana walnut pancakes for dinner. i’m serious. it’s on my calendar.

  • I am glad there is someone else in this world who loves pancakes just as much as I do :)

  • I love pancakes for dinner too!!

  • The kids and I are big fans of the oatmeal cookie pancakes! I’m hoping you come up with some fall inspired pancake recipes – something with apple or pumpkin. Thanks joy – you rock!

  • It’s Friday and your post helps that feeling sink in even more. I have to have pancakes for breakfast tomorrow and I know it’s gonna be a great weekend – I’m leaning towards the gingerbread ones right now but oh, it’s hard to choose. I love your new site too.

  • I love pancakes too! Your honey wheat bread recipe looks fabulous as well. Your new site is great.

  • Ah yes. I share your love affair. And I’ve made your Oatmeal Cookie Pancakes too many times to count.

Goal for September: go through the rest of your list.

I bet I can do it.

  • As much as the thought of chair spiced pancakes intrigues me, I assume you mean ‘chai’…

    ;)

Just yankin’ your chain. I LOVE pancakes and I love you for making this post – pancakes for breakfast tomorrow! Or possibly supper tonight!
