Peppermint Meringues

December 20, 2009

Peppermint Pops

What are you up to on this fine Sunday?

Holiday shopping?  Holiday partying?  Trying to find a pair of pantyhose without a run in them?  Yea… me too.

I thought I’d pop in and remind you of these little peppermint gems.  They’re light.  They’re beautiful and festive.  You can put them in the oven and just about forget about them while they bake…. and yes, they look a little bit like Colgate toothpaste.

Peppermint Meringues.  Because you can.  Because you should.

I tried to make some a few days ago and they all turned brown in the oven. :( It was sad.

I made these last weekend and they were great. Our red and white didn’t stripe like your cute ones but they were great just the same

I just made these the other day too! I loved them! I dipped the bottoms of mine in chocolate and crushed peppermints, and they were amazing! I can’t help eating 2 or 3 every single time I walk by their bowl on the table..

I’m snowed in here in Boston, so I’m going to be doing some baking. I made these meringues last year too, but I dipped them in chocolate and crushed candy canes. They were so delicious.

those are absolutely gorgeous! I love peppermint. These are so going on my list of things to try, though I have doubts as to my ability to make them look as cute as yours.

They look good indeed… but I’m afraid I won’t be able to reach your craftmanship.
Well, never mind and merry Xmas!

Your picture looks like a modernist work of art. It should be hanging on the wall of some hip, urban museum.

Love peppermint, the way it zings in your mouth. These look heavenly.

i threw these guys together last night. while they don’t look nearly as delicious as joy’s, they certainly taste awesome.

they were looking pretty pathetic when i put them in the oven, i may have even told my husband “joy the baker is a liar”. but i quickly took it back when they turned out reasonably cute :)
