What are you up to on this fine Sunday?
Holiday shopping? Holiday partying? Trying to find a pair of pantyhose without a run in them? Yea… me too.
I thought I’d pop in and remind you of these little peppermint gems. They’re light. They’re beautiful and festive. You can put them in the oven and just about forget about them while they bake…. and yes, they look a little bit like Colgate toothpaste.
Peppermint Meringues. Because you can. Because you should.

Joy, these are beautiful!
Love the colgate reference!
I tried to make some a few days ago and they all turned brown in the oven. :( It was sad.
These are gorgeous. Probably one of the prettiest holiday desserts I’ve seen!
CUTE!
This fine Sunday I am recovering from yesterdays’ day long trip seeing the London sights. And i’m about to taste Toad in the Hole for the first time. Happy Holidays!!
I’ve seen these on a couple of blogs and they look so lovely. I am definitely going to have to try them.
WOW are those pretty looking!
I made these last weekend and they were great. Our red and white didn’t stripe like your cute ones but they were great just the same
I just made these the other day too! I loved them! I dipped the bottoms of mine in chocolate and crushed peppermints, and they were amazing! I can’t help eating 2 or 3 every single time I walk by their bowl on the table..
I’m snowed in here in Boston, so I’m going to be doing some baking. I made these meringues last year too, but I dipped them in chocolate and crushed candy canes. They were so delicious.
So cute!
those are gorgeous Joy!
this sunday I am with 18 inches of snow, stuck inside, for now
I made these last year after seeing them on your blog and they turned out beautifully! I was just thinking about giving them another go for this Christmas!

those are absolutely gorgeous! I love peppermint. These are so going on my list of things to try, though I have doubts as to my ability to make them look as cute as yours.
Thanks for the recipe! Very cute! I’m definitely going to try these this week. Happy Holidays!
So pretty and festive – love them!
They look good indeed… but I’m afraid I won’t be able to reach your craftmanship.
Well, never mind and merry Xmas!
oh man. i just had an EPIC meringue failure. don’t know if i’m brave enough to try again… http://incrediblecrunchyflavor.wordpress.com/2009/12/18/meringue-thin-mints/
Your picture looks like a modernist work of art. It should be hanging on the wall of some hip, urban museum.
Love peppermint, the way it zings in your mouth. These look heavenly.
Mine turned out no where as beautiful as yours, but they are DELICIOUS!!

These look so pretty and must taste wonderful too!
If you had a cooking show, I would definitely watch every single episode. And so would all my friends. Just saying. :)
these look so adorable!!
My goodness those sure are purty!
Happiest holidays to you!
i threw these guys together last night. while they don’t look nearly as delicious as joy’s, they certainly taste awesome.
they were looking pretty pathetic when i put them in the oven, i may have even told my husband “joy the baker is a liar”. but i quickly took it back when they turned out reasonably cute :)
these look too pretty to eat!
oh those delicious after dinner mints are the only thing helping my morning (all day) sickness with this pregnancy…im gonna have to try these meringues! i tried to make the peppermint sandwich cookies over the weekend…delicious!
your meringues look perfect!
These peppermint meringues look absolutely adorable! I never would’ve thought it looked like toothpaste until you mentioned it, haha! What a great dessert… which also gives you good breath too!
Those look amazing!
Your photography is beautiful. I’m simply amazed you haven’t had fancy training. Have a great holiday!
