Peanut Butter Meets Chocolate

Peanut Butter Blondies with Milk Chocolate Frosting

I went to a meeting yesterday…

I went to one of those fancy LA-type meetings.  Think:  television executives, fancy open office, exposed brick walls, Apple computers, too cool for school/ultra hip staff… and me in last year’s twelve dollar Target sandals.  Um…..

It was intimidating.  I sat up straight and hid my shoes.

Know what we talked about?  Chocolate and Peanut Butter.  Seriously…. it really broke the ice.

And then one of the executives said I looked like a flight attendant.  That’s a compliment, right?

Chocolate Peanut Butter Cupcakes

Peanut butter and chocolate.  The great equalizers.

Peanut Butter Blondies with Milk Chocolate Frosting

Peanut Butter Blondies with Milk Chocolate Frosting.  Yea… these puppies make me want to sit on the couch with a glass of milk and watch after school specials.  Wholesome.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Cupcakes

Chocolate Cupcakes with Peanut Butter Frosting and crumbled peanut butter cups make me feel like a dirty filthy whore…. and I love it.

Lauren's Peanut Butter Sandwich Cookies

Peanut Butter Sandwich Cookies dipped in semi sweet chocolate?  There goes your diet.

… It was a stupid diet anyway.  You look great.

Peanut Butter Banana Cream Pie

This is what Peanut Butter Banana Cream Pie looks like if you put your face rreeeeaaaallllllyyyy close to it.

Cooking with Jill

This is what Vegan Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookies look like if you take a really bad picture of them.

True.

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Dough

Don’t you feel like a genius when you’re in the middle of making peanut butter cookies and you remember you have half a bag of chocolate chips in the cupboard?  Yea, me too.   Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies.

Peanut Butter Fudge Krispy Treats

Good Lord!  We shouldn’t even be talking about this mess.  It’s butter and sugar topped with peanut butter, butter, more sugar and chocolate and butter.  See?  These Peanut Butter Fudge Treats are a legitimate problem.

Here’s a think piece:  Chocolate and peanut butter pancakes: friend or foe?

  1. This post made me droooooool… I’ll be daydreaming about chocolate and peanut butter all day in class, so thanks for a good distraction. I made your peanut butter banana bread (except as muffins and with chocolate) the other week, and now I’m stuck on the idea of doing more with the combination. It’s simply unbeatable.

  2. You are funny, clever and bright with a snappy wit…great combo! You post ridiculously delicious recipes and articulate the sincerely honest pleasures of cooking and eating…THANK YOU! Reading your blogs are my mid-day, calorie-free glutonous indulgences…

  3. There is nothing sweeter than warm peanut butter and melted chocolate, so pb&c pancakes would be awesome!
I am not a fan of pancakes, but when I was a little girl I started eating grilled peanut butter and chocolate sandwiches! They are the BOMB!!!
Spread a slice of bread with a generous amount of peanut butter, then sprinkle on some semi sweet chocolate chips. Cover with the other slice of bread and butter the outside of each side of the sandwich. Grill until bread is golden brown and the peanut butter is warm and the chocolate is melted.
So YUMMY! I am 50 years old now, and I occasionally make myself one of these delectable treats!

  4. Hahaha. The Chocolate Cupcakes description made me think of this part in Family Guy:

“Honey, what do you say we uh…christen these new sheets, huh?”
“Why Lois Griffin, you naughty girl.”
    “Hehehe…that’s me.”
    “You dirty hustler.”
    “Hehehehe…”
    “You filthy, stinky prostitute.”
    “Aha, ok I get it…”
“You foul, venereal disease carrying, street walking whore.”
    “Alright, that’s enough!”

  5. Oh. My. Word.
One of these days I am going to scrape up some courage and buy flour, sugar, eggs, and all the rest, and then bake some of these yummy treats you show on here!!
I say “courage” because I’m teaching English in Eastern Europe right now and grocery shopping requires learning new vocabulary. Right now I can smile nervously and say “Excuse me.” That’s about it. So far, this has translated to an awful lot of potatoes and pasta. Which is totally comparable to Peanut Butter Cupcakes with Chocolate Frosting.
    …right?

  6. I really like your blog and I visit it almost every day. Would it be possible to know what are the three books shown of the second pictures? I love cookbooks and looking to buy new ones. Thanks!

  7. I love your line about the chocolate and peanut butter cupcakes. If the crumbled peanut butter cups make you a dirty filthy whore, then I’m one too. :) Love your blog! I’m going to have to try those C & PB cupcakes soon! They look delicious!!

  8. As long as it’s nutella and peanut butter pancakes then definitely friend. Otherwise grainy, wow-melted-chocolate-holds-heat kinda foe. But hey, pancakes are pancakes!

  9. I read this post yesterday and made the PB and Choc Chip cookies before church Sunday morning. Everyone there loved them and my husband is taking a batch with him to work today too. Fantastic recipes Joy!

  10. Peanut butter blondies are one of the best things I’ve ever tasted. Every person that I’ve made them for has said they are in the top 3 most delicious things they’ve ever eaten. I’m not joking. And good timing on the pb/choc blog… last night my nerdy self and much cooler but still nerdy friends made a video about how much we love those. it is going up on my blog asap. (and yes – I realize we’re completely ridiculous!)

  11. Oh my! I made the peanut butter blondies with milk chocolate frosting and they are absolutely 2 die 4!! I really love the milk chocolate frosting. I was actually out of vanilla extract so I decided to use almond extract which I had on hand. I used about 1/2 tsp. and the flavor was so delicious with the peanut butter and chocolate! Whew! Fantastic recipe! I will definately make this again and again!

  12. Chocolate and peanut butter pancakes are a friend in my house. Chocolate chip pancakes slathered in chunky peanut butter, dripping with real maple syrup. Oh yeah. Every weekend, and some Tuesdays.

  13. I think I have to get the yellow Gourmet cookbook- it has been on my (very long) Amazon list for some time, and I love that yours looks like you cook from it!

  14. Oh My gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaash!!!!! Seriously?! Really!? I just emailed a friend this post and described all the PB and Choc sinfulness as “orgasmiclooking”! I just don’t know how else to describe the contents of this insanity today. Thank you, for the bottom of my belly, for sharing these, and all of your deliciousness!

  15. Wow! I am with you on those goodies! Truly heaven! Chocolate and peanut butter are my two favorites..oh yes!! I really want to make the peanutbutter blondies with milk chocolate frosting. I loved when you mentioned the after school specials! I remember those days. Or…even watching The Brady Bunch! I completely laughed out loud, mouth dropped what you said about the chocolate cupcakes with peanut butter frosting! You are cracking me up! Iove it! Your blog is always a joy to visit!

  16. Chocolate and peanut butter pancakes would be a serious score! Please give us the recipe. The only thing I love more than peanut butter is chocolate. The two together is heaven on earth.

  17. I think that it is officially peanut butter and chocolate week….it’s like a craze :) my mom made peanut butter and chocolate chip cookies yesterday and sent me with some raw dough balls when i went to my friends house for a cooking extravaganza. Not only did we cook and devour dozens of ravioli, we created a super crazy Peanuty-chocolicious fudgy brownies…to say the least! They were fudgey brownies from david lebovitz’s ice cream cookbook marbled with creamy natural peanut butter and topped with smooshed peanut butter chocolate chip cookie doughh balls….the most intense slice (or slices ;] ) of heaven EVEEERRR.THey were so rich and perfectley balanced….it was like all all i wanted to do for the rest of my life was to eat chocolate peanut butter cookie brownies….but i have to do other stuff too….bummer

  18. peanut butter and chocolate pancakes – friend. your very best friend to be exact. i make something similar to your peanut butter fudge treats… only with a pretzel shortbread crust. amazing. but i’m excited to try your recipe out too.

ps. my mom is a flight attendant. it’s a compliment :0)

  19. Mmmmm. Peanut butter and chocolate chip pancakes are the bomb! With a glass of ice cold milk! And they serve them at a diner less than five minutes from my house. 5 minutes…. Ummm…. Gotta go.

  20. It’s ok, a lot of wonderful combinations make me feel like a dirty whore too. The best one? Cream cheese, chocolate chips baked inside a deep, dark chocolate cupcake. Oh Black bottom cupcakes, spank me now!

    lol

TV execs? Joy the Baker show? Definitely getting cable now!

  21. Friend definitely!
Pancakes are one of the way-up-there-gifts from god, and with peanut butter and chocolate? come on… it’s peanut butter… and chocolate…. and pancakes…… dotdotdotdot….I think that is the equation for the big bang… ….or I’m a little bit in love with pancakes. either way!.. FRIEND FRIEND FRIEND!

  22. We love PBandChocolate sandwiches around here (Nutella is queen!).

I can’t wait to try the Peanut Butter Fudge Treats. They remind me of a peanut butter bar we used to get with lunch at elementary school – back when everything was made from scratch in the on campus kitchen.

Oh yes . . . Chocolate and peanut butter pancakes: friend

  23. Love PB & Chocolate, but have a daughter that is very allergic to PB. So no PB in my house. Big sigh! You think you can make these with Almond Butter instead? Do tell.

    1. For those of you with peanut allergies (or who cook for those with the allergy), try using soy nut butter instead. It tastes extremely similar to (if not better than) peanut butter, and it’s even healthier for you.

  24. I love pb&c! My 7 mo old son is unfortunately allergic to peanuts so I can’t have any pb until he is at least a year and I’m done breastfeeding. :(

  25. I’m kinda allergic to peanut butter… but not enough so to stop me from eating it! Because I do. Frequently. I face the consequences, but yeah, it’s worth it.

  26. Thanks so much Joy! I will admit I have an addiction…and it is peanut butter. I search and search recipes that include pb and probobly eat it every day…whether in a sandwich, a spoon, with fruit or as a cookie. A local restaurant that I frequently attend for breakfast makes King Cakes (choc chip banana pancakes with peanut butter spread in the middle). Could life get better? I think not. I never liked cupcakes before until my friend made your Chocolate with PB Frosting… Don’t worry you have given me more option to try!

  27. I like you. I’m sure I’d like peanut butter and chocolate pancakes, but I like every pancake, so I’m not sure my biased opinion should hold equal wait. I am also fairly certain I’d like your Target shoes. Honestly. Shoes, Target? What could go wrong? It’s the chocolate peanut butter combination of fashion. When you have less money than you want.

  28. Is it weird that I sat down with some left over chocolate smothered in peanut butter to read your post? Yeah… just checking.

  29. Please say you’re getting your own show! I’ve been wishing that for you since I’ve started reading your blog. You are so authentic, hilarious, real and your recipes truly come out perfectly every time. Love these recipes! Yum!

  30. Friend!
Smear some peanut butter on pancakes and scoop on some chocolate ice cream.
    Chocolate syrup? Heck yeah!
    Chopped peanuts? You betcha!
    Whip cream? What’s my name?!
    Say. My. Name.

  31. Oh my gosh. If I had a table full of those yummy treats in front of me, I would not be able to decide which one of them to taste first. The peanut butter sandwich cookies look just like the tastiest things ever. But: Peanut butter blondies with milk chocolate frosting??? Heaven!
I’m not sure about pancakes, though.

  32. You are the best. Love this post!

I, too, cannot wait to hear what this TV executive stuff is about!

(And what you thought of the Bachelorette finale!)

  33. Chocolate chip pancakes with a layer of peanut butter on each then real maple syrup. Served with hot cocoa and whipped cream. The best breakfast :) granted I still think the addition of sliced bananas in the batter would be oh so good – the rest of the family has an aversion to them (grin).
And I was so scarfing down a huge peanut butter cookie while reading your post!

  34. Joy, your name says it all. You are a Joy to encounter. I am so hooked on your site, and when I need a new recipe, I always check here first. If you have the time, and are so inclined, can you play with the old tried-and-true pineapple upsidedown cake? The best-looking recipe (as yet untried in my house) that I’ve seen so far gets points for using the traditional cast-iron frying pan but swapping out the nasty maraschino cherries for dark sweet cherries. If every you got your hands on it, I would bake the recipe you came up with. Really.

  35. Ok…ya got me with the first pic of the Blondies…….but then the last pic of thr PB Fudge Treats just totally ‘did’ me in. Ugghhhh……..what to bake first??????

    :):):):) P.S. I think I’ll make…………………………..BOth;)

  36. Dirty filthy whore is the only way to go, isn’t it? I so want some of those cupcakes. Sadly, my crazy Aussie boyfriend takes issue with sweet and savory — and therefore thinks chocolate and peanut butter don’t go. Good thing I didn’t find out about THAT until I was in too deep! ;)

BTW – peanut butter and chocolate always go, period. Make your pancakes. Eat and be happy… and, um, send me some?

  37. Joy,
I found your blog looking for a chocolate Peanut Butter Ice cream (one of the best I must say), I can not stop reading! You are delightfully funny and refreshingly honest, you say the things we are all thinking.
My favorite chocolate and pb recipe is pb cookies with a mini peanut butter cup inside, simple yet effective.
    Keep on writing!
    S.

  38. Joy! First of all, I love all your posts – I read them daily! I’m curious, though (not that this has anything to do with this particular post…my apologies), what did you think about the Bachelorette Finale?! I was so shocked that you hadn’t posted anything about it!
Keep baking and making me laugh :)
    -KB

  39. The sinful thing my dad taught me to do with peanut butter is to dip a spoonful of it in condensed milk. I have never told my kids about it yet, because I almost wish I didn’t know how good it is.

  40. Please stay true to us… keep your show online. I don’t have cable and I hate getting left out. Someday TV will be on the internet, but for now it’s not all there. Please keep your cute videos going!

  41. So I’m sitting here reading your blog when I’m supposed to be working at work….and start laughing out loud at chocolate cupcakes with peanut butter frosting and crumbled peanut butter cups making you feel like ‘a dirty filthy whore…. and I love it.’
Oh geez you crack me up!!!
I definitely have to make these; they sound dirty (and divine).

  42. I just love the way you write…..your adorable and you totally make my day!

    Ps. –
If love with inanimate objects and polygamy were legal Peanut Butter and Chocolate would be the third and fourth partners in my marriage….and my husband would be totally fine with that

  43. Why I continue to read your blog whilst THREE days into a TWENTY-ONE day Cleanse is beyond me. I knew it would be toture, plain and simple, but when you post something like “Peanut Butter meets Chocolate” … Well just I never had a chance.

    You’re great.

  44. ladies … two whole wheat waffels, 1 blob of pb, a handfull of choco chips … heaven.
sadly though, i’ve gotten my 6 and 2.5 yr olds hooked on this evil! (the good evil kind)
happy to be part of the dirty filthy whore pb’n chocolate group!

  45. Peanut butter is the great love of my life, so I could happily eat each and every one of these things and for breakfast, lunch _and_ dinner. Thanks for sharing, Joy!

  46. Just yesterday I had a very intense conversation with a handful of girlfriends about peanut butter and chocolate. Together. In dessert. We all went to our happy places.

About peanut butter on pancakes…My family has ALWAYS slapped on a dollop of pb on our pancakes before dousing them with syrup (and often bananas). My in-laws think I’m crazy. Don’t knock it till you try it, is what I tell them. (They refuse.) Anyhow, about your pb/chocolate/pancake combo: Hells yeah. Do it.

  47. Poo. I gained 5 lbs reading this and now I have to go gain 5 more making and eating them! :)
And what’s up with the tantilizing teaser? So not nice! What were you and your $12 flip-flops doing in a tv execs office?

  48. I don’t watch tv (not a snob, just don’t), but if this means that you’ll be on it, then I’m so in!

Also, I may or may not take a big spoonful of peanut butter and cover it in chocolate chips to satisfy desperate PB/chocolate cravings…often.

  49. Is it wrong that I can’t even pay attention to what you’re saying b/c all I can do is stare at that wood trivet? That is SO neat! Is it storebought or did you go lumberjackin’ it?

  50. JOY ARE YOU GETTING A TV BAKING SHOW?! omg. that would be the epitome of awesomeness. you will keep us, your devoted readers, informed, — right???

  51. this blog is hilarious, gorgeous, and adorable. thanks for the list! I want to make all these things… and if you might be on TV, how exciting!

  52. Um…. Chocolate and pb pancakes????? Joy, why can you not live in GA, so we can be BESTEST BUDS…. This idea is genius, and I shall have to try it out.

  53. Oh damn, I really should not have read your blog this morning. I have, like, 327 chores to get done today, but now all I want to do is get in the kitchen with chocolate and peanut butter so I can feel like a dirty filthy whore, too. Curse you, Joy (with much love, of course)!

  54. Hmmmmm…..TV execs…….. I was wondering when that day would happen……. You are a natural for TV. I would watch!!!

As far as friend or foe……both, I’m afraid. My mouth loves them, my hips don’t.

  55. mmmm all I have to say is hello lover. and PUHLEASE make chocolate peanut butter pancakes. Like NOW :-). thank yoooou!

  56. For some sad reason, peanut butter disgusted me when I was pregnant. But since my daughter was born 4 months ago, my peanut butter cravings are back in full force. This summer has been the summer of chocolate chip pancakes, which I eat individually by hand, usually slathered in peanut butter. Yuumm.

  57. PB + Chocolate = crazy delicious :) I made your Chocolate cupcakes with Peanut Butter frosting for a friend’s birthday, and I had at least 3 people tell me that they were the best cupcakes they had ever had. Nothing makes me happier (or thirstier!) than peanut butter and chocolate!!!

  58. Oh, Lord. I’m completely obsessed with peanut EVERYTHING. (If the children that I’m going to have in my future have nut allergies it’s going to be a serious problem.) I’m dying looking at this stuff. I just started the South Beach Diet yesterday and it’s pretty vicious of you to tell me that my diet is stupid while you’re showing me these things… but I swear the next time I indulge, it’ll be on one of these… or all of them.

  59. I’m going to say foe. Only… wait before you slap me. I LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE a smear of Smucker’s pb sandwiched between pancakes. I LOOOOOOOVE chocolate chips all melty within. However, there’s something about the combo AND maple syrup that hurts the roots of my teeth.
It happens with PB and bananas as well. But go ahead and try it. Maybe you have tough teeth. Please report.

  60. Joy, if someone told me I looked like a flight attendant I’d take it as a compliment. Just the fact that you were sitting in their office is pretty cool. Whatever it was about….(Hint hint we want to know!) Congrats!!

  61. I feel the need to make a Peanut Butter, Banana cream pie – – topped with Chocolate and Caramel… I feel Salty peanut butter and rich dark chocolate could benefit from sweet chewy Caramel!!

  62. Can I just say that, as a young reader, I absolutely adore you? I Love how your blog has it’s moments of censorship, then periodically you bust out with something so unexpected that I almost roll off my bed laughing?! Because, I’ll admit it– peanut butter and chocolate make me feel like a dirty filthy whore, too!

    Love it!
    Colleen

  63. A flight attendant ? Why ? Were you standing by the door telling everyone where to sit again, Joy??

We have a hard time finding peanut butter where I live so I have learned to suffer with a jar of Nutella by my side.
    It works.

    besos. C

  64. Banana chocolate chip pancakes with peanut butter and maple syrup on top. I’ve done it. I went into a sugar coma. This is what University exam times can do to you. (I do believe it’s worth it).

  65. Joy: I think I can taste this peanut butter-chocolatey goodness through my computer screen. Just started reading your blog, and I have to tell you, you really make me laugh. I love it!

  66. My favorite combo! Chocolate and peanut butter. Peanut butter and pancakes? I had to slather (I love that word… Sssslaather) my mom’s giant pancakes with peanut butter and jelly, it was the only way I could choke them down since I’ve never been able to stomach syrup. If you find a way to make pancakes tasty without syrup my taste buds will love you.
    *love* you anyway :D

  67. Love, love , love the chocolate/peanut butter thing and your blog.
The teaser about the meeting your attended was very intriguing…
Will we be seeing you on a show of your own soon…Food Network, The Cooking Channel, Style????I think you have the perfect personality and certainly the adorableness ( made up word but it fits) for T.V. I hope things work out for you in a way that makes you happy!

  68. You are such a treat Joy! I died laughing when I read your comment on the cupcakes. Peanut butter and chocolate are the best combo and all these treats are tempting!! Love it!

  69. Seriously, is there any better combo? No, no there’s not. We’re kind of obsessed with anything pb and chocolate…and sometimes just grab a spoon of peanut butter and shove chocolate chips on top. It happens rather frequently. And now you’ve reminded us of all the other delicious pb/chocolate things we should be making. Bye bye diet…sigh.

  70. Lovelyyyy – esp the cream pie w/ peanut butter, chocolate, bananas – yea – pretty sure it doesnt get any better than this. And had to laugh about your online squabble over brown sugar – wow. Enuf’ said.
    Thanks for sharing as always!
    Sarah at blog.candiquik.com

  71. Did I just hear you say you were meeting w television execs? Am I the only one who caught that? What for?! Tell more! I would love to watch you on TV, it would be absolutely hilarious, you are just awesome.

    1. Exactly!!!!!! Are we maybe going to get to watch you on tv? Cause if that is so, can you try for a spot after 5pm or before 830am so I can watch everyday???

  72. Joy, Oh my gosh! I want to print off all of these recipes and make all of them. Your photography makes the goodies look so tasty. Thanks for sharing!

  73. Did you really say dirtly filthy whore? Did you really? LOL that alone made me print the recipe to make these saturday morning for breakfast. talk about taking a walk of shame!

  74. Mmmm, my favorite combination. For years, I thought I had a peanut allergy (apparently, it’s totally common to have a false positive from skin tests.) Am now making up for lost time…

  75. I kid you not, I was eating peanut butter M&M’s when I opened this blog post to read it. The PB choco combo is my true love.

I’m making one of these this weekend. Thanks for being awesome.

  76. What do they mean, you look like a flight attendant? Yeah, if looking like a flight attendant means looking cute and super awesome, then I agree. You should have punched that person in the nose. Seriously, they were practically begging for it.

And chocolate peanut butter pancakes are a friend, of course. They haven’t done anything to me besides sound absolutely delicious. Hope you give them a whirl soon!

  77. I can’t say anything about pb and chocolate pancakes, but waffles I can share about. On the weekend, I made waffles, and asked hubby what he wanted on them… I’m standing there with the fridge door open, naming off whatever random saucy thing I have… Syrup, honey, jam, and suddenly, when I said Chocolate Syrup, it didn’t sound like a joke, which is what I had meant… There was already peanut butter on the table, and it really was like Reese’s for breakfast. I was thinking about feeling guilty, and then I just kept chewing.

  78. Chocolate + peanut butter = serious yum. Bring on those pancakes :)

Also, I don’t know if you’ve ever tried any of the Peanut Butter & Co peanut butters, but they are amazing. My new favorite is the Cinnamon Raisin Swirl pb but they make a bunch of different ones, INCLUDING ones with chocolate (one with white, one with dark). seriously yummy.

  79. Chocolate and peanut butter anything is a friend.

I feel like the peanut butter needs to be sweetened with icing sugar or something to best compliment the sweetness of the chocolate. Ever put a scoop of pb on a piece of chocolate? It’s just not the same as, say, a Reese’s

  80. ZOMG. Chocolate and peanut butter is the bomb. Peanut butter toast with chocolate melts was my cheaters fix for cravings, but now it’s gotten to the stage of skipping all baking and just smearing peanut butter between two chocolate buttons, he he he.

  81. lately i’ve been wanting to try peanut butter s’mores…substituting peanut butter cookies for the graham crackers…what do you think? have you ever tried that?
i’m not too sure about those pancakes… :)

    blessings
    ~*~

    1. Laura,

try replacing the chocolate bar with peanutbuter in your smore. It’s fantastic! Or just use a reese cup in place of a hershey bar… :)

    2. My friends and I have been making peanut butter s’mores all summer…we just spread a little bit of peanut butter on the graham crackers before putting on the marshmallows. The heat from them makes both the PB and the chocolate all melty and sooo good. Just be sure to have lots of napkins and our drink of choice: ice cold milk.

  82. I have an aversion to peanut butter and chocolate together. I should really get over it. I do make peanut butter chocolatey treats for my boyfriend though and he’s a big fan. I was thinking about making peanut butter ice cream and swirling in some chocolate – maybe it will cause me to get over my aversion. But really, just give me peanut butter on a spoon any day and I’m happy – no need to mess with that little spoonful of perfection (not the natural kind, please!).

  83. Haha, I love your commentary about the cupcakes. You crack me up! Those peanut butter fudge treats are very similar to my family’s version of rice krispies treats we would make for family picnics. We would make rice krispies treats and spread a layer of PB on top and finished it off with a layer of melted chocolate chips. In my family chocolate + PB = win, every single time. My dad once said, “I think that we should have a new national holiday – National George Washington Carver Day.” To celebrate the invention of PB properly one should mix it with chocolate, no?

  84. First of all, it’s incredibly weird that you’re posting about chocolate and peanut butter happiness, right after I destroyed all the diets in my office by blaspheming a perfectly good granola bar recipe by adding ridiculous amounts of peanut butter, honey-roasted peanuts and chocolate chips. Holy hell, they were awesome. I haven’t plucked up the courage to tell the lovely Deb at SmittenKitchen what I did to her recipe. Yikes.

Second, bring on the pancake goodness! I like chocolate chip pancakes, and peanut butter pancakes sound divine, so why not combine the two? Pure bliss, I tell you!!
