Let It Be Sunday, 279!

Hello sweet friends.

I’m taking a break from our Sunday post this week to give myself a bit of a holiday.

I’m camping in Mississippi – in an RV with air conditioning – I’m not totally crazy.

I’ll be cooking this camping menu, listening to a lot of 90’s music, swimming in a river, and sitting around a campfire.

Thanks for being here every week. It really means so much that we’ve made this space together.  I hope you safely enjoy the outside today. I hope there’s watermelon and pink wine and extra sun.

I should do a road trip food post later this summer – I’m a pro because I literally can’t drive more than an hour without snacking.

Ok friends! Be well, I love you.

xo Joy

  1. Joy, I hope that you are enjoying a well deserved break. Camping with air conditioning is the best way to camp! Looking forward to the road trip food post and the next let it be sunday!

  2. Aww.. I was camping last week in the eastern Sierras 1 mile outside the tioga pass Yosemite entrance. 9 days on a lake kayaking, hiking and reading. What a refresher. I hope you enjoyed your time. Could have used your menu last week lol.

  3. You say “swimming in a river in Mississipi” and I think “snakes.” I hope that wasn’t the case and you had an amazing time.

  4. Love! Your Sunday posts are always gold … please feel abundantly supported in taking a rest (and many more whenever you dang please!) ALSO – I started listening to “You’re wrong about” because of your rec and it is so so amazing. Thank you!!

  5. Breaks are good. Enjoy your holiday. And the 90s music. I can’t get a 90s song out of my head lately. Remember “What’s Going On” by 4 Non Blondes?

  6. Today is a beauty. I am appreciating the weekend you’ve created for yourself. Here in Alberta it’s 2 generous cups of black coffee in bed with Tolkien, bike rides out west with my kids and always watermelon. ?

  7. Air conditioned camping with some visits outdoors is my idea of camping in the heat. Enjoy it and stay safe!

  8. Stay safe, and savor the moments! I am off to flick Japanese beetles into a container of soapy water before I pick blueberries. Cold brew coffee in my sacred mug.
