Every now and again we need a little post-mid-week pick me up. Post-mid-week refers specifically to Thursday… because Wednesday is mid-week and Friday is a celebration. We’re looking Thursday smack dead in the eye and willing it to be Friday but you can’t make a leopard out of a lemur (which is totally a saying that I just made up and am definitely not deleting).
Here’s some inspiration to help us soar through this day, or at least the next fourteen to eighteen minutes.
• Sia singing Diamonds with rawness and realness. Also, her carpool karaoke is spot on. Lastly, raise your hand if you’re going to be Sia for Halloween. Too soon? Because I’m definitely raising my hand.
• I made a batch of soup today for a friend who is under the weather. It wasn’t very bloggable mostly because it was an instinctual chop, saute, and blend soup. Carrot, Sweet Potato, Ginger, Coconut Milk a riff on Minimalist Baker’s Coconut Curry Soup and my Carrot Apple Ginger Soup.
• I saw a lady on an airplane with this purse… and I thought ‘oh I’m going to look for that purse and treat myself’… and then I found it, and holy moly it’s expensive, and my pocketbook hid itself under my couch and says it’s never coming out.
• It’s Deviled Egg Season. We don’t have a minute to waste.
• My Maj Tracy suggested I listen to this episode of The Lively Show: How to Experience More Positive Emotions Everyday. It’s for everyone!
That’s all for Thursday. We’re making pancakes this weekend. Recipe tomorrow!

Joy — I agree that bag is GORGE. I found one at Old Navy the other day that’s similar and totally does the trick (and looks surprisingly expensy). It’s also 30 bucks, so your wallet can stop hiding :)

Without sounding icky, I wanted to throw out a ‘thanks’ for your dedicated output of content – I have been reading for many happy years and am always impressed by the consistency of your posts.

Joy, I love you and all that you do! I think that if you love something, and if you feel great every time you wear it, you should GO FOR IT! It’s a special purchase. They also make it in a smaller, less expensive version that is perfect for when you’re out and about, it’s basically all you need.

Hello friend! Sole society actually sells a pretty solid version of that bag for $50! Maybe test run one of those and see if you fall in love with the size and upgrade! https://www.solesociety.com/tova-white.html or this one https://shop.nordstrom.com/s/sole-society-thalia-faux-leather-crossbody-bag/4133463

Um yeah, that purse is expensive! My wallet is hiding too just thinking about it. Your deviled eggs look amazing. I’m not a radish fan, but I love the dill. Hmm……think it’s time to start planting some herbs. Your soup actually sounds delicious and yes, bloggable too. Thanks for the fun shares!

I’m a guy and even I want this purse.

Catherine Smith
That purse is amazing! But for that price…shouldn’t she be able to afford her own plane? ;)

HAHA I went to the store to specifically see and touch said purse as I have been eyeing it. I couldn’t even ADORE this lovely handbag before a saleswoman came running up with a COUPON in hand to shove at me…I kept repeating, I can’t afford this purse PLEASE just let me look! Then the sales lady started showing me other more affordable alternatives before I just left with NaNa…I’m going to still DREAM ON about a Chloe purse 1 day for me!
Nadia
Great post. Just back from a trip to South Africa so lots of pics to upload then will post all for you to see.

yeah .. the purse.. my policy is.. if I don’t have more money in my wallet than the purse is worth.. walk away.
Paula
Right? I appreciate a gorgeous bag as much as the next accessory-lovin’ lady, but your money is supposed to go in your bag, not IN your bag, you know what I mean?
