Tart Pan Giveaway!

Tart Pan Giveaway

Update!

Wow y’all!ย  Thanks for all the inspiration!ย  You’ve certainly got my gears working.ย  I’ve got summer berries in the works.ย  I’m plotting some lavender goodness.ย  And chocolate never goes out of season… does it!?ย  Our tart pan winner is… drum roll…

Tart Pan Winner

Look at this! ย Bright! ย Shiny! ย Scalloped!

It’s a tart pan with a removable bottom. ย It’s pretty snazzy.

For some reason, ย it took me about 28 and 3/4 years to buy one of these pans. ย I thought these pans were for super fancy bakers that make fancy French style fruit tarts all day and all night.

It turns out… this 9-inch tart pan is our secret weapon against having to roll out pie crust. ย That’s right! ย Secret weapon.

Strawberry Banana Cream Pie for On the Lamb

With this tart pan all you have to do is throw together a dough and press it into the pan. ย Press. ย Not roll. ย Just like I did for this Strawberry Banana Cream Pie. ย Genius.

And! ย The best news ever! ย I’m giving away one tart pan this weekend.

All you have to do is leave me a little comment inspiration. ย Tell me something you’d like me to bake up and post on Joy the Baker by the end of this Sunday, April 25th… and you could have a tart pan delivered right to your doorstep!

My next move with this pan? ย Brownie Pie. ย It’ll happen. ย Prepare yourself.

  1. I know the contest is over, but I just saw rubarb at the grocery store, and was thinking rubarb, strawberries and the tart pan hmmmmmmmm what could I make?

  2. I was wondering if you had chokecherry syrup and jelly recipes. My boyfriend and I both had grandmothers who made them. They are our favorites, but my son has never had either. Baking is my way of remembering my grandma. Iโ€™d like to find one good enough to honor her.

  3. I know I’m late for this one – but I’m going to post my all-timefavourite apple-cinnamon-cupcake recipe anyways:

    makes 12-20 cupcakes

    For the dough:
    150 grams of butter
    3 dl sugar
    2 eggs
    2 dl flour
    1 teaspoon bakingpowder
    1 teaspoon vanillasuger
    1 (big) teaspoon of cardamom
    1 teaspoon of cinnamon

    For the apples:
a small, sweet apple cut up into as many boats as there are muffins (if you are making a large batch, more apples might be necessary)
    3 tablespoons cinnamon
    3 tablespoons sugar

Preheat the oven at 180 degrees celsius

Melt the butter. While it’s melting, mix together the sugar and eggs in a large bowl until it gets white and foamy, and then pour in the melted butter. Add the flour and the spice, and mix it all together. Then pour it into your cupcakeforms.

Peel the apple(s) and cut it into as many pieces as there are cupcakes, and lay them in a bowl or plate, then pour over the sugar and cinnamon. When they are completely covered with sugar and cinnamon, put one in each cupcake form and cover with dough. Bake for 20 minutes at the top of the oven.

  4. I can’t wait for BROWNIE PIE!!!!!!!! As soon as you post, I am stealing your recipe to make some for my boyfriend. You should include some sort of cheesecake element. That would be delicious.

  5. What fun! I’d love to try my hand at making a cherry tart.I saw so many beautiful tarts last year but was a little tart shy. Thanks for such a fun giveaway!
