Here’s What My Three Most Popular Holiday Recipes Have In Common

PEANUT BUTTER.

You’re searching for it here on Joy the Baker and  I love you for it – it’s no wonder we’re friends.

You might recognize these Peanut Butter Cup Cookies as the peanut butter cookies that are often dotted with Hershey’s kisses.  The invitation is to level up and peanut butter cup.

When a peanut butter cookie and gingersnap collide: Peanut Butter Gingersnap Cookies.  Rich and chewy with a peanut crunch.

I’ll be back in Los Angeles later this week helping my mom with bundt cakes and  Peanut Butter Balls. It’s a (our) lifestyle.

I love snooping around at what you’re baking through what you search for here. Thanks for loving peanut butter as much as I do.  Keep that oven on (I have an overnight cinnamon roll recipe for you tomorrow), and have a most wonderful holiday.

More soon. My love to you!

  1. Anything peanut butter calls out to me! Even though I have to be gluten free, I am confident I can make things work gf. Mostly. I just love your recipes and your blog. Reading it often makes me happy, and we can all use some of that right now. I hope your holidays are joyous. And safe travels!

  2. Raising my hand as one of those PB lovers! I’m making your Mom’s PB balls and the Peanut Butter Cup Cookies. They are going to go along with your Cheesecake snickerdoodles, Yule log, and cinnamon rolls! I love the space that you have created here. The energy is always positive and fun and the recipes have never let me down! Merry Christmas to you and the entire Joy the Baker Family!!

  3. I used to love those peanut butter balls, especially cold from the fridge. Unfortunately I developed a slight peanut allergy a few years ago…so no more peanut butter and chocolate combos for me. Maybe I’ll try a mix of tahini and cashew butter someday- that combo seems to come closest to real pb flavor. Happy holidays Joy!

    1. If you can have soy, WowButter is a great sub for peanut butter. I used it all the time when my daughter was allergic to peanut butter.
