Let’s talk about this weekend’s adventures. ย There were highways, gas stations and bridges. ย I might have a made friends out of strangers although there was too much wine to be clear on that. ย Aaaaand! ย I taught my first cooking class. ย In Sonoma. ย That happened. ย
Take a peek!
I spent an evening in and around San Francisco. ย The Golden Gate Bridge. ย It chokes me up. ย It makes me a little teary eyed. ย It’s just a bridge. ย Why would a bridge make me want to cry? ย Weirdo.
I stayed at a lovely resort tucked just behind the Golden Gate Bridge. ย I got lost trying to find it. ย So lost. ย But look at this place? ย Doesn’t it look like where you’d want to fall in love with Ryan Gosling if you were Rachel McAdams? ย
Long grass. ย It’s got character. ย
Birds. ย Boats and buildings. ย
I spent the rest of the evening in the city without my camera. ย If you are two of the three women that were with me that night… you should be glad I didn’t have my camera. ย I’m just sayin. ย Wow. ย Wine. ย Wow. ย We all have our ‘too much wine’ ย moments. ย I remember mine: ย in front of The Pioneer Woman and Steamy Kitchen. ย Oops.ย
I made my way to Ramekins in Sonoma. ย Above is James. ย He was my hype man. ย He said nice things and introduced me to the class. ย Awesome. ย Thank you.ย
The kitchen at Ramekins is gorgeous. ย My kitchen is never this organized. ย
Nor does it ever have this many people in it. ย
Cameron is making Creme Fraiche Quiche. ย She’s a dear.ย
Jessica is peppering some biscuits. ย Rad. ย
Danielle is cutting biscuits. ย Nice form.ย
Jessica brought Tom. ย He’s the silent type. ย He got his hands dirty. ย
Everyone gathered ’round the griddle making pancakes for themselves. ย I’m pretty sure I’ve found heaven. ย
Meet Annie. ย She’s the most dear, lovely and gracious lady I’ve ever met. ย Annie, thanks for your endless help and support with this class. ย Thanks for the hospitality and for loving macarons enough to stop a taxi. ย You’re great. ย
And… this is what the drive home after a crazy weekend looks like…
… but this is what if feels like. ย And. ย Yes. ย I did sing every Fiona Apple song I know on the drive home. ย I also ate a cheeseburger. ย And chocolate. ย
Thank you to all of you shining people who came out to Ramekins for my first baking class. ย Big hugs of appreciation to the fine folk at Ramekins who made my class run like an absolute dream. ย I’ll be back. ย April.ย
